Ingredients
2 kg | plums, halved and stones removed |
1 l | dry red wine |
1 kg | sugar |
1 stick(s) | cinnamon |
2 dash(es) | rum |
Instructions
In a large saucepan, bring the wine with plums, sugar and the cinnamon to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the plums are soft. Remove from the heat and season to taste with rum.Pour the plums into sterilized jars and seal with screw caps. Store at a dark cool place.
Serve with vanilla ice cream, pancakes or semolina pudding.
