Ingredients

2 kg plums, halved and stones removed
1 l dry red wine
1 kg sugar
1 stick(s) cinnamon
2 dash(es) rum

Instructions

In a large saucepan, bring the wine with plums, sugar and the cinnamon to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the plums are soft. Remove from the heat and season to taste with rum.

Pour the plums into sterilized jars and seal with screw caps. Store at a dark cool place.

Serve with vanilla ice cream, pancakes or semolina pudding.
