Chocolate and red wine cake recipe details
Ingredients
100 g | dark chocolate |
250 g | butter |
For the dough: | |
250 g | flour |
10 g | cocoa powder |
1 packet(s) | baking powder |
250 g | sugar |
2 tsp | vanilla extract, 2-3 tsp |
4 | eggs |
100 ml | red wine |
150 g | chocolate, chopped |
To soak: | |
125 ml | red wine |
For the glaze: | |
200 g | dark chocolate |
1 tbsp | oil |
Instructions
Chop and melt the chocolate, then leave to cool slightly. Melt the butter and leave to cool slightly.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
For the dough:
Combine the flour and the cocoa powder and sieve into a bowl. Add the vanilla extract and the sugar. Stir in the red wine, the eggs, the melted butter and the melted chocolate. Seal the bowl with a lid and strongly shake the bowl until all ingredients are well mixed. Mix in the chopped chocolate.
Divide the dough on a greased baking tray and flatten. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
Transfer the baking tray on a wire rack and immediately drizzle the red wine over the cake. Leave to cool.
For the glaze:
Chop the chocolate and place together with the oil in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring, until the chocolate has melted an is well combined with the oil. Evenly divide the chocolate glaze on the cake. Garnish with a fork, drawing lines in the chocolate. Leave to set.
