Pear cake recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups salad oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups canned Bartlett pears, drained and chopped
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Glaze:
- 1 Tablespoon soft butter
- 3 Tablespoons pear juice
- 1-1/3 cups confectioners’ sugar
Combine oil, sugar, and eggs; beat well. Sift flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in pears and nuts. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Pour batter into pan and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. Test with toothpick. Cool and glaze.
