Ingredients

300 g ready made puff pastry
4 small pears
2 tbsp cranberry jam
1 egg yolk
To serve:
vanilla sauce

Instructions

Wash, peel and halve the pears. Remove the cores. Fill the pears with smooth cranbery jam and join the pear halves on to another again.

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Roll out the puff pastry (40*40cm) and cut in 4 equal squares. Place a pear on each square. Fold the pastry over the pears and firmly press the edges together. Whisk the egg yolk with a little water and brush the puff pastry with the egg.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the pastry packages on it. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Serve with vanilla sauce
