It’s OK to have Alfredo sauce every once and a while. Right? Well if you still do not believe me, try this lighter version with ham I created. It’s delicious and easy.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 1 pound ham, chopped
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- freshly ground pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons flour
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ham and garlic and cook until heated through, about 3minutes.
2. Stir in half-and-half and Parmesan cheese until thoroughly combined. Reduce heat to low and stir in parsley, nutmeg and pepper.
3. Whisk in flour and continue to whisk until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.Serving Suggestion
Serve over fettuccine noodles.
