Cherries a la belle recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple, with juice
- 20 ounces tart canned cherries, with juice
- One 18.5-ounce box lemon cake mix (not pudding)
- 1/2 cup pecan halves, chopped
- 1 lemon rind
Place pineapple and tart baking cherries into a 9 x 13-inch greased baking pan. Sprinkle the box of cake mix on the top of the fruit. Do not mix. Pour melted butter over the top of the mix and sprinkle nuts and lemon rind over finished pan. Bake in 350-degree oven for 50 minutes. Serve hot with heavy cream.
