Caramel Blondies recipe
Ingredients
200 g | soft toffees, chopped |
150 g | white chocolate, grated |
300 g | brown sugar |
200 g | butter |
400 g | flour |
2 tsp | baking powder |
4 | eggs |
500 g | bananas, peeled and sliced |
icing sugar | |
butter |
Instructions
Set ¼ of the chopped toffees aside. In a saucepan, mix together sugar, butter, chocolate and the remaining chopped toffees. Heat gently until all has melted, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat. Fill the mixture into a bowl and allow to cool for 30 minutes, then stir in the eggs. Add the flour and baking powder and stir until well combined. Fold in the bananas.
Preheat the oven to 150°C. Pour the batter into a buttered rectan gle baking tray. Sprinkle with the remaining toffees and bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool.
Cut into cubes and serve dusted with icing sugar.
