Let’s face it. Summer is a time for fun, and some parents don’t want to stay in a hot house all day and cook, while some just don’t have the time or energy. This is the kind of meal that you just pop in the slow cooker and do whatever you and your family have to do for 6-8 hours. Then just put it in some lettuce wraps and eat! It’s easy, fuss-free, and I think it tastes great.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup of sweet and sour sauce
- 1/2 cup of hoisin sauce
- 4 (1/4 inch) slices ginger
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- salt and pepper
- 1 (5 pound) pork butt, sliced in half
- leaves of Bibb lettuce, to serve
- grated carrots, to serve
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 6 hours1. Stir the teriyaki sauce, sweet and sour sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper together in a slow cooker to combine. Place the pork into the slow cooker.
2. Cover, and cook on Low until the pork is very tender, 6 to 8 hours. Once done, shred with two forks, discarding any bone or gristle.
3. Serve on a large platter with lettuce wraps and grated carrots on the side. Serve hot.
