Zeppole recipe details
Ingredients1. All purpose flour (1 1/2c)
2. vegetable oil (enough to fry )
3. active dry yeast (1tsp)
4. warm water (3/4c)
5. sugar (2tsp)
6. confectioner sugar (to dust)
7. salt (1tsp)
Method of preparation
1. Take a bowl, put water in it and add sugar in the water and then put yeast in the bowl. Keep it for 2 minutes and stir it until the yeast gets dissolve.
2. Take a large bowl, mix flour and salt in it. Then add yeast mixture in it and mix it until it gets blended. Cover the bowl and keep it in warm place for 1 hour to rise it.
3. Take a large pan of 2 inches high. Pour oil into the pan about 2 inches. Keep the oil to heat at 375 degrees. Put the dough of 1 teaspoon at a time in the hot oil.
4. When the zeppole gets golden then take off the pan from heat and drain it. Sprinkle the confectioner sugar over it.
