Watercress and cheese scones recipe details
Ingredients
85 g | watercress, chopped |
100 g | self raising wholemeal flour |
100 g | butter, cubed |
100 g | self raising plain flour |
50 g | Gruyere cheese, grated |
½ tsp | salt |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C.In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, butter, cheese and watercress. Add a little water to make a soft dough.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut scones out of the dough in the form of triangles or rounds. Place the scones on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, until the scones are browned. Serve warm.
