- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups 1-minute oats (quick-cooking kind)
- 5 Tablespoons butter
- 1-1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 cup (or more) brown sugar
- 2 ounces maple-flavored syrup
- 2/3 can evaporated milk
