Turkey stew with dumplings recipe details
Ingredients1. Bisquick (1c)
2. all purpose flour (3tbsp)
3. bay leaf (1 each)
4. rosemary leaves (1/4tsp)
5. water (2c)
6. celery, cut into chunks (2stalks)
7. onions, diced quarterly (2each)
8. carrots, cut into chunks (4each)
9. bacon slices (4)
10. turkey breast, tenderloins (1 ¼ pounds)
11. chicken broth (1can about 4 ounces)
12. milk (1/3c)
13. salt and pepper ( as per taste)
Method of preparation
1. Take Dutch oven, saute bacon in it until it gets moderately crispy. Saute 1 inch chunks of turkey with onion and then add celery, carrots, bay leaf, rosemary, broth, 1 and ¾ cup of water in it. Keep the mixture to boil and then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot and keep it to simmer for about 20 minutes.
2. Take a bowl, mix flour and ¼ cup of water in it and then pour it into the stew. Keep it to boil by stirring regularly. Take out the bay leaf from the mixture and then add salt and pepper according to taste.
3. Take a bowl, mix bisquick and milk in it and then drop it into the stew with rounded tablespoon. Cook it uncovered for about 10 minutes then cover the pot and again cook it for 10 minutes.
