Tuna melt toastie recipe details
Ingredients
1 large can(s) | tuna chunks, in oil or brine |
2 tbsp | mayonnaise |
2 | ciabatta loaves, halved & sliced through the middle |
125 g | mozzarella, thinly sliced |
25 g | butter, softened |
4 | sun-dried tomatoes, drained & roughly chopped |
6 | black olives, sliced (optional) |
2 | spring onions, trimmed & chopped |
crisps & salad, to serve |
Instructions
Mix the drained tuna with the mayonnaise. Season.Preheat the grill and toast the cut sides of the Ciabatta. Cover the bottom pieces of Ciabatta with slices of mozzarella and place under the grill until melted and bubbling.
Spread the top pieces of Ciabatta with butter. Scatter the sun-dried tomatoes and olives onto the cheese and then top with the tuna mixture and spring onions. Cover with the top pieces of Ciabatta.
Serve immediately with crisps and salad.
