Tuna and tortellini casserole recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | Tortellini |
150 g | tuna, drained |
200 g | crème fraîche |
1 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
200 g | grated cheese (Cheddar or Gouda) |
1 large can(s) | tomatoes, puréed |
1 tsp | paprika powder |
1 tbsp | basil, chopped |
1 tsp | oregano |
1 tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
3 | spring onions, sliced |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
Cook the tortellini in salted water until al dente.In a saucepan, melt the butter and fry the spring onions and the garlic over medium heat until lucent. Pour in the pureed tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes. Season to taste with Worcestershire sauce, paprika powder, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
Mix together the crème fraîche and the parsley. Preheat the oven to 170° C.
Place the tortellini in a buttered casserole dish. Divide the tuna on the pasta. Evenly pour over the tomato sauce and spread the crème fraîche on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake for 20-30 minutes before serving.
