Tuna and saffron rice recipe details
Ingredients1. Tuna, drained and flaked (1can about 7 ounce)
2. parmesan cheese (1/2c)
3. chicken broth or bouillon (2 3/4c)
4. ground saffron (a pinch)
5. uncooked long grain rice (1c)
6. finely chopped onion (1small)
7. butter or margarine (3tbsp)
Method of preparation
1. Take a large saucepan, place it over heat. Melt butter in it, add onion and cook them until they become soft. Then add rice in it and cook them for about 3 minutes.
2. Take a bowl, add saffron and 1/2 cup of chicken broth in it and then keep it aside. Add the rest of the 2 ¼ cup of chicken broth to the rice. Now cook it over low heat by stirring it irregularly.
3. When the broth gets absorbed then adds saffron-flavored chicken broth in it and cook it until the rice becomes soft.
4. Now take off the pan from heat, mix tuna and Parmesan cheese in it. Now the dish is ready to serve.
