Tomatoes in garlic oil recipe details
Ingredients
4 large | tomatoes, thickly sliced |
4 tbsp | olive oil |
1 tbsp | sesame oil |
2 clove(s) | garlic, thinly sliced |
1 | onion, chopped |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
oregano and thyme | |
sugar |
Instructions
In a pan, heat the olive and the sesame oil. Add the tomato slices. Sprinkle the upper side with salt, pepper, sugar, thyme and oregano. Fry for 1 minute over medium heat, then turn the tomatoes and season and fry the other side.Arrange the tomatoes on a serving plate. Sauté the garlic in the oil. Pour the oil and the garlic over the tomatoes. Sprinkle with onions. Allow to chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
Serve with fresh bread.
