A very basic pot roast, in a smaller version that fits in your toaster oven. Great for a small family.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1/2 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 to 3 carrots, chopped in large chunks
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 2 1/2 pounds chuck roast
- Black pepper, to taste
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 8 days 18 hours | Extra time: 30 mins, setting1. Preheat toaster oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Combine all ingredients but roast in an 8×8-inch baking dish. Set roast in the middle of the pan, turn to coat, and cover with foil.
3. Bake for 3 1/2 hours, then remove from toaster oven and let sit with the foil covering for 30 minutes. Serve.
