Toaster oven mac and cheese recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 8 ounces uncooked small pasta, such as macaroni
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup grated Italian 4 cheese blend
- 1/2 cup buttery cracker crumbs
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 30 mins1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water according to package directions, then drain and place in an 8×8-inch dish.
2. Preheat toaster oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Make the cheese sauce: melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add flour and cook, stirring over medium-low heat, for 2 minutes.
4. Slowly add milk, then stir in the cheeses. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring, until sauce thickens. Coat noodles with sauce and place in toaster oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
5. While macaroni and cheese is baking, place remaining butter in a small skillet over medium heat. When it’s melted, toss with breadcrumbs and saute for 1 to 2 minutes to crisp up the breadcrumbs.
6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs onto macaroni and cheese and bake for 5 more minutes. Remove from oven, let stand for a few minutes, then serve.
