Thai style chicken livers recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | chicken livers, trimmed |
3 tbsp | vegetable oil |
6 | shallots, chopped |
3 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
1 tbsp | rice flour |
3 tbsp | fish sauce |
3 tbsp | lime juice, fresh |
1 tsp | sugar |
1 tbsp | lemon grass, bruised and finely chopped |
2 tbsp | coriander leaves, chopped |
2 small | red chillies, chopped to garnish |
some | mint leaves, chopped to garnish |
Instructions
Heat oil in a wok or heavy based pan and fry livers for about 4 minutes, or until the liver is golden brown and cooked, but still a little pink inside.Move the liver to one side of the pan and add the shallots and garlic. Fry for about 2 minutes.
Add rice flour, fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, lemon grass and coriander. Stir to combine.
Serve garnished with chillies and mint leaves as a starter with salad, or as part of a main course with jasmine rice.
