Ingredients
Serves: 5- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 5 pounds bone-in country-style pork ribs
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 6 hours1. Whisk brown sugar together with soy sauce, ketchup, honey, vinegar, garlic, salt, ginger, and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl. Coat ribs with the mixture.
2. Layer the onion in the bottom of a large slow cooker. Place ribs on top of the onion and pour any remaining sauce on top of the ribs.
3. Cook on low for 6 hours. Serve topped with sesame seeds and green onions.
