Ingredients
Serves: 6- For dressing:
- 1 cup vinegar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sugar
- For slaw:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large head of cabbage, shredded fine
- 2 green bell peppers, chopped fine
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 5 mins | Extra time: 4 hours, chilling1. Bring all dressing ingredients to boil in saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Place cabbage, peppers, and onion in a large bowl. Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar. Do not stir.
3. Pour dressing over mixture. Do not stir.
4. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours (don’t open the plastic wrap until full time has passed!). Then open and stir.Alternate Method
