Ingredients
Serves: 4- 6 ounces uncooked fettuccine noodles
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 ounces steak, about 1/2-inch thick
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, until dente. Drain.
2. While pasta is cooking: Cook steak in 1 teaspoon olive oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, flipping once midway through cooking time. When steak reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (for medium rare), remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
3. While steak is resting: add remaining oil to the skillet. Cook onion in hot oil for 3 minutes to soften, then stir in mushrooms. Cook another 4 minutes, then add broth.
4. When broth comes to a boil, turn heat down to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Slice steak.
5. Add pasta, steak slices, and sour cream to the skillet. Stir well and serve.
