Ingredients1. Swordfish steaks (2 pounds)
2. raisins (3 ounce)
3. capers (1/4c)
4. pine nuts (2 ounces)
5. pitted and minced green olives (10)
6. diced ripe tomatoes (1/2 pound)
7. minced garlic (1clove)
8. minced onion (1small)
9. olive oil (5tbsp)
10. pepper and salt (to taste)
Method of preparation
1. Take a small bowl, add lukewarm water in it and then soak raisins in it for about 30 minutes. Then drain the raisins and keep them aside. Now heat the oven to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
2. Take a large frying pan, place it over high heat and then heat olive oil in it. Add garlic and onion in the pan and saute them until they get soft. Then add capers, pine nuts, olives, tomatoes and raisins in the pan and mix them well.
3. Cover the pan, turn down the heat to low and then cook the mixture for about 15 minutes. Dust salt and pepper over the fish steaks.
4. Take a baking dish, grease it lightly with oil and then place the fish steaks in it. Pour the cooked sauce over the fish steaks.
5. Now place the dish in oven and bake the fish steaks at 400 degrees F for about 15 to 20 minutes until the steaks get firm. Then take out the dish from oven and serve the fish hot.
