sweet sue's fresh peach cobbler recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1-3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh peaches
- 2/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon peach extract
Melt margarine in a square baking dish. Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk in bowl and pour over margarine. Peel and slice peaches into a pan; add water, 2/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, and peach extract. Bring to a boil until thickened and pour into baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then turn oven down to 375 degrees and continue baking for 20 minutes.
