A big, hearty pot of turkey chili that’s easy to make and features three types of beans. Inspired by CHEFBEACH’s “Spicy Southwest 3 Bean Chili”

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 white onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small jalapeno pepper, diced
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 (14-16 ounce) cans beef broth
- 1 (16 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour 10 mins1. In a large stockpot over medium-high heat, brown ground turkey with onion and peppers until meat is cooked through and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Drain off small amount of grease, leaving some for flavoring.
2. Add garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, and flour. Stir until meat is evenly coated. Stir in oregano and beef broth, then season with salt and pepper to taste and bring to a boil.
3. Add all 3 cans of beans, reduce heat to low. After 30 minutes of simmering, add tomato paste and stir, then simmer for another 30 minutes and serve.
