Ingredients
Serves: 8- 2 1/3 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup non-fat dry milk
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed sweet basil
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup, set aside until end
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour | Extra time: 20 mins, cooling1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and coat a 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Place all ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly together. Press into baking dish.
3. Cover and bake 45 minutes, then uncover and spread 1/2 cup of ketchup evenly on top. Cook 15 minutes uncovered.
4. Remove, allow to sit for 15 to 20 minutes, cut, and serve.
