Ingredients
225 g | flour |
1 tbsp | baking powder |
50 g | butter |
50 g | sugar |
2 tsp | fresh lavender flowers, or 1 tsp dried flowers |
150 ml | milk and milk to brush the scones |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220°C (fan on 200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.In a bowl, mix the flour with baking powder. Add the butter and mix with your fingertips to crumbles. Add sugar, milk and most of the lavender flowers. Mix with the hooks of your electric mixer to a soft sticky dough.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 2.5cm thickness. With a ramekin cut out rounds and place on the baking tray. Brush with milk and sprinkle with the remaining lavender. Bake in the oven for 10-14 minutes until golden brown.
Serve the still-warm scones with jam, cream and butter.
