- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup light cream
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 12 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Ground sausage, cooked (my option)
I made about six of these for a women’s breakfast at church. They ate every last bite, and complained about cholesterol later.
Spread cheese in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish. Dot with butter. Combine cream, salt, pepper, and mustard; pour 1/2 of mixture over cheese. Pour eggs over all, then add remaining cream mixture. Bake in a slow oven (325 degrees) until set, about 40 minutes.
