Ingredients
2 tbsp | chopped shallots |
180 ml | Burgundy wine |
1 | bay leaf |
1 pinch(es) | thyme |
250 g | mushrooms, sliced |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 ½ tbsp | flour |
240 ml | beef broth |
Instructions
Finely chop shallots and place in a frying pan. Add wine, bay leaf and thyme and cook on a simmer until wine is reduced to about 60ml.In another frying pan, sauté mushrooms in butter and stir in flour. Add broth and cook and stir until mixture boils thoroughly and is clear and thick. Add wine mixture and remove the bay leaf. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
