Butter, white wine, and a squeeze of lemon are all you need for a great marinade for grilled venison. This will get rid of the “gamey” taste in venison.
Ready in: 5 mins
Ingredients
Makes: 1 /2 cup marinade
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 lemon wedge
- 2 pounds venison
Preparation method
Prep: 5 mins
1. Put the butter, wine, garlic salt, and pepper into a zip-top bag. Squeeze in the lemon and mix well.
2. Put your venison in the marinade, press out the air, and seal the bag. Marinate at room temperature 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (Do not put in fridge or butter will harden back up).
3. Grill venison to your desired degree of doneness.
