Ingredients
Serves: 12- 3 ducks, slow-cooked anad deboned
- 1 cup cooked wild rice
- 4 cups seasoned croutons
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 8 ounces mushrooms
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Shred duck meat and place in large baking dish. Combine rice, croutons, butter, seasonings, onions and mushrooms; place over duck meat in baking dish.
3. Combine 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup flour, and chicken broth in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes, then pour on top of casserole ingredients.
4. Bake for 1 hour.
