Saffron Rice recipe

Ingredients
400 g | rice |
800 ml | water |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
½ tsp | powdered saffron |
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste |
Instructions
In a large, ovenproof saucepan sauté the chopped onions in the butter until they start to turn light brown.Add boiling water and rice and cook on medium heat. Season with salt and pepper and add the powdered suffron.
Cover the pan with a lid and simmer until rice is soft. Stir occasionally.
