- Ingredients
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 cup orange juice
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 8 slices French bread, 1-inch thick
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Combine eggs, juice, milk, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg in medium bowl, and mix well. Set aside. Arrange bread slices in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate over night. Pour melted butter in a jelly roll pan. Arrange bread in a single layer in pan, sprinkle with nuts. Bake in preheated oven (400 degrees) for 25 minutes.
