Rice fritters recipe details
Ingredients
1 medium | egg |
1 | onion, finely chopped |
150 g | long grain rice |
1 tsp | cornstarch |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
nutmeg | |
2 tbsp | oil |
Instructions
Cook the rice in salted water for 15-20 minutes or until done. Drain and allow to cool.Beat the egg into a bowl and mix with the rice, onion and cornstarch. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
In a pan heat the oil. With a spoon place heaps of the rice into the pan and flatten slightly. Fry from both sides until golden and a little crispy.
