People who don’t like oatmeal like this oatmeal.

Ingredients
2-1/2 cups steel-cut oats (health food departments of upscale grocery stores)
1 teaspoon salt
Water to cover by 1 inch
Real maple syrup on the side for sweetener or in a well in the center of the oatmeal
Chopped fruit and/or nuts sprinkled on top or on the side

Bring steel-cut oats to a boil. Cover and simmer for about five minutes. Taste for doneness. You don’t want it all mushy — rather al dente.
