Major flavor, minor cooking time. Garlic and chili powder flavor these quick-cooking salmon fillets. Would be a good choice for fresh-caught salmon at the campfire.

Ingredients

Serves: 4
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation method

Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 10 mins

1. Pour 1 tablespoon oil into a large skillet and set over medium heat. Add salmon and cook for about 4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 4 to 6 minutes, until salmon flakes easily. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil.
2. Pour the second tablespoon oil into the skillet. Add garlic and cook in hot oil until fragrant, about 1 minute; whisk in remaining ingredients and turn off heat.
3. Serve salmon with the glaze poured over each fillet.
