Punch cherry sauce recipe details
Ingredients
cinnamon | |
sugar | |
1 | lemon, zested |
1 glass(es) | cherries |
250 ml | cherry juice |
gingerbread spice mix | |
2 tbsp | rum |
1 tbsp | cornflour |
Instructions
Drain the cherries and fill up the liquid with the extra cherry juice to 500 ml. Stir in the gingerbread spices and the lemon peel. Bring to a boil.Mix together the cornflour and some water. Stir this into the sauce and add the cherries and the rum. Bring to the boil again and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season to taste with sugar and cinnamon.
Serve with bread pudding or rice pudding.
