Poultry stew recipe details
Ingredients
1 medium | chicken, carved into 4 parts |
150 g | leek, sliced |
150 g | carrots, sliced |
¼ bulb(s) | celeriac, sliced |
½ large can(s) | peas, drained |
100 g | vermicelli |
2 | shallots, sliced |
1 l | chicken stock |
salt and pepper | |
2 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
Season the chicken parts with salt and pepper.In a pot, melt the butter. Add the chicken, leek, carrots, celery, peas and shallots. Cover and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes until meat and vegetables are slightly browned, turning occasionally. Pour in the chicken stock, cover and stew for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is tender, then add the vermicelli and cook until the noodles are done.
Season with salt and pepper. Serve with fresh bread.
