Ingredients
1 kg | pork for stew, cut into 2cm cubes |
2 | onions, sliced |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
2 tbsp | oil |
750 ml | water |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
2 slice(s) | wholemeal bread, chopped, leftovers |
1 tsp | caraway |
5 tbsp | single cream |
5 sprig(s) | parsley, chopped |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the oil. Sauté the onions until lucent. Remove and set aside. Add the meat and fry until golden brown all around. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 90 minutes.Add the garlic, bread, caraway and the cream. Bring to the boil again and cook for another 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve sprinkled with parsley.
