Pork chops in a mushroom and onion gravy recipe details
This is a recipe I came up with tonight wanting something different. They came out sooo good and juicy I even surprised myself.
Ready in: 1 hour
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 4 medium sliced pork chops
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can onion soup
- 1 medium onion
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 45 mins1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. While oven is heating chop up sliced mushroom into about 1/4 inch or smaller.
3. Combine both cans of soup, onion and mushroom.
4. Mix in the chopped up mushrooms with the soups and sit aside.
5. Take onion and slice into about 1/4 inch slices and then cut slices into quarters.
6. In a pan using a non-stick spray give pan a light coating.
7. Put a small amount of the soup mixture and about 1/3 of the onions on the bottom of pan then place the 4 Pork Chops on top of the first thin layer of sauce and onions.
8. Season with black pepper if desired on top of pork chop layer and then spread remaining sauce mixture on top.
9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink.
