Porcupines details
- Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup raw rice, washed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup water
Mix beef, rice, onion, and seasonings. Form into small balls. Fry in hot oil, turning frequently until light brown (but not crusty) on all sides. Mix tomato sauce and water. Pour over meat, cover and simmer about 45 minutes.
