Popcorn and bacon bars recipe details
A manly dessert with none of that fru-fru whipped cream and such. Just popcorn, sugar, bacon and pecans.

Ingredients
Makes: 12 cups- 10 tablespoons popcorn kernels
- 12 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup packed lightly brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 45 mins1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees F and coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Pop popcorn in a popcorn maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. Meanwhile, cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels, then chop.
3. Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a saucepan and set over low heat. When sugar dissolves, turn heat up to medium. Cook for about 4 minutes, then turn off heat. Add baking soda and nuts.
4. Stir popcorn and bacon together in a very large bowl. Drizzle with corn syrup mixture and toss well to coat. Pour onto baking sheet.
5. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from oven and cool. Break into chunks and serve.
