A new way to enjoy a beef rib eye. A rib eye steak cooked the same way our Dad liked cracker-breaded pork chops.

Ingredients
Serves: 1- 12 saltines, crushed fine
- 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 rib eye steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chiles
- 1 tablespoon butter
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Crush saltines to almost fine. Add garlic salt and pepper. Whisk egg and milk, then drench the steak to completely moisten. Coat in saltine crumbs and set aside to rest for 20 minutes.
2. Heat oil and butter on medium high. Add steak and cook till lightly brown, about 4 minutes.
3. While steak is cooking on one side, in a separate sauce pan, melt butter, add green chiles, season as you like with salt, pepper, and garlic, and bring to a low heat.
4. Flip the steaks, and lower heat to cook till golden brown, about 6 minutes. Serve with chiles.
