Poached pears a la lakehouse recipe details
- Ingredients
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 6 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons vanilla
- 6 firm pears – peeled, halved lengthwise, and cored
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice in 1 cup of water, in a plastic bag
Blend first three ingredients and set aside. Prepare pears and place in plastic bag until needed. Place pears, cut side up, and lemon-water in a covered microwavable dish. Microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not overcook or pears will get mushy. Top poached pears with cream cheese mixture. Garnish with walnuts or mint leaves.
