Plum cake with cinnamon and sugar recipe details
Ingredients
For the dough: | |
500 g | flour |
20 g | yeast |
125 ml | lukewarm milk |
60 g | sugar |
60 g | soft butter |
2 | eggs |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
For the topping: | |
1 ¼ kg | plums |
cinnamon and sugar mix |
Instructions
Put the flour into a bowl. Make a well in the middle and crumble in the yeast. Stir slightly with a little lukewarm milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Leave to rise at a warm place for 15 minutes.Add in the remaining ingredients for the dough and knead until the dough comes off the edges of the bowl and doesn’t stick at your hands anymore. Cover and leave to rise at a warm place for approximately 1 hour.
Halve the plums, remove the stones and carve the plum halves a little with a knife to flatten the fruits.
Knead the risen dough again and roll out the dough in the size of your baking tray. Transfer the dough onto the lined baking tray.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Divide the plums slightly overlapping on the dough and sprinkle the cake with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until slightly brown.
