Pizza bread focaccia recipe details
Ingredients
250 ml | warm water, about 45° C |
1 packet(s) | yeast |
1 tsp | sugar |
2 tsp | salt |
300 g | flour |
5 tbsp | extra-virgin olive oil |
thyme, dried, to taste | |
rosmary, dried, to taste | |
basil, dried, to taste | |
oregano, dried,to taste |
Instructions
Stir water, sugar and yeast together until dissolved. Let sit for 5 minutes.Add 4 tablespoons olive oil and salt.
Stir in the flour until well blended, dough should be firm.
Place dough on a floured surface and knead until smooth, adding flour as necessary. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let sit in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
Punch down dough. Knead for a minute, then let sit for 10 minutes.
Grease cookie sheet.
Pat dough into cookie sheet using fingers dipped in olive oil.
Sprinkle with basil, thyme, rosmary or oregano to taste.
Let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 250 C.
Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, or until golden.
Cut into several pieces and serve immediately.
