Pineapple casserole recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 20 ounces canned pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tablespoons flour
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup butter-flavored snack cracker crumbs
If you like a more crispy topping, you can use more cracker crumbs. This is a great side dish to serve with ham. Can be used for breakfast or dinner as a side dish or an appetizer.
Drain pineapple chunks, reserving 3 tablespoons of juice. Combine sugar, flour, and juice. Add cheese and pineapple. Spoon into a 1-quart casserole dish. Combine butter and cracker crumbs and sprinkle over the pineapple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
