Pickled fish ii recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | filleted white fish |
6 medium | onions, sliced |
300 ml | vinegar |
cooking oil | |
1 tbsp | chutney |
1 tbsp | curry powder, to taste |
1 tbsp | sugar |
salt, bay leaves , some pepper, allspice |
Instructions
Cut the fish into neat slices and coat with flour. Heat cooking oil to smoking hot and fry fish until tender. Drain and cool.Add curry powder, sliced onions, vinegar, allspice, bay leaves, chutney, salt, sugar and pepper. Cook until onions are tender.
Lay fish in a deep bowl and fill up with the sauce. Leave for 2 days for the sauce to soak well into the fish.
Serve cold.
