Pickled feta cheese recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | Feta cheese |
1 sprig(s) | rosemary |
1 tsp | thyme |
1 tsp | sage |
1 tsp | mint, dried |
2 clove(s) | garlic, finely chopped |
200 ml | extra virgin olive oil |
1 tsp | chili powder (optional) |
Instructions
Dice the Feta cheese into small cubes and put them into a Kilner jar or other preserving jar. Add the herbs and the garlic. If desired spicy, add in 1 teaspoon of chili powder. Cover with oil, seal the glass and leave to steep in the fridge for 3-4 days.Serve to each Feta cheese cube approximately 1 teaspoon of the oil to dip the bread in.
Can be kept for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Don’t worry when the oil becomes thick in the fridge, it will become clear at room temperature again.
