- Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 Tablespoons Karocorn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 to 4 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- One loaf of French Bread, sliced about 1 inch thick
Melt butter in saucepan. Add corn syrup and brown sugar; stir until melted and blended. Pour into baking pans that have been sprayed with Pamnon-stick cooking spray. Place sliced apples on top of syrup. Place bread over the apples and syrup. Beat eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract together until well mixed. Pour over bread. Cover, refrigerate, and allow to soak overnight if possible.
Bake in preheated 375-degree oven for 45 minutes. Plate, then pour remaining pan juice over the French toast; sprinkle with powdered sugar. Decorate with fresh fruit for color.
Note: You can successfully substitute other types of bread, including ordinary cinnamon bread slices.
